For over 10 years we have been teaching non-competitive boxing to children in the community. Through boxing and other sports, we teach important skills that can be applied outside of sports. Such as diligence, perseverance and discipline.

Founded in 2012, the club has been hosting exciting and engaging activities for kids of all ages. We continue to live up to our legacy in the community with our Volunteer coaches, most of whom have attended the club from a young age. Every member of our team believes in our goal and is dedicated to the club.

Although we are predominately a boxing club, our main focus is lessons that go beyond fitness. Head coach Alan Boyd, a former police detective, helps keep children off the streets.

Alan leads the Holy Apostles Sports Club with over a decade of coaching experience and a lifelong commitment to helping young people grow in confidence, discipline, and resilience. A former Metropolitan Police detective, he brings a calm, structured, and safety‑first approach to every session. His passion for community boxing and youth development is at the heart of everything we do.

James grew up in the local community and has been part of the club since its early days. As a qualified England Boxing Level 1 coach, he focuses on developing strong fundamentals, good habits, and a positive mindset. He is known for his patience, encouragement, and ability to bring out the best in every young boxer.

Jean Marc brings energy, technical skill, and a strong understanding of youth coaching. His sessions balance discipline with fun, helping young people build confidence while learning proper boxing technique. He is especially passionate about helping newcomers feel welcome and supported.

Chris is a long‑standing member of the coaching team and a dedicated mentor to many of our young athletes. He focuses on fitness, footwork, and building strong foundations. His friendly approach and commitment to the club make him a favourite among the kids.

Nazar brings enthusiasm, structure, and a strong work ethic to every session. He supports young boxers in developing discipline, coordination, and self‑belief. He is especially good at motivating children who are new to sport or need extra encouragement.

Hamid is a valued member of the coaching team, known for his calm presence and supportive coaching style. He helps young people build confidence through steady progress, clear guidance, and positive reinforcement. Hamid plays an important role in creating the safe, welcoming environment our club is known for.

We're on every Friday during school term, 6-7:30 pm , it costs 50p each week and all kids from ages 7 - 16 are welcome.
